Have you ever wondered why there seems to be little change in the world despite so many people who profess the name of Christ as their savior? Are you hearing everywhere you turn, this thing called the seven mountains of cultural influence, and wondering what it all means? Johnny Enlow has written a book titled, The Seven Mountain Prophecy: Unveiling the Coming Elijah Revolution to answer these questions and many more.
There are very few books that I come across that have so much present day relevance, not only to me and where I am spiritually, but also where the Church is needing to be, in order to become the mature body that God purposed Her to be. If you are unfamiliar with the seven mountains of cultural influence, they include the mountains of celebration, economy, education, family, government, media, and religion. Each of these mountains of influence are key Kingdom territories that were lost and must be reclaimed. This book points out critical strategies for a prophetic revolution that is under way, and must take place for all things to be fulfilled.
What I truly enjoyed about this book, beyond it speaking to issues that I believe God was already dealing with me in, is that it actually revealed those areas that I know I already have a passion for, and gave practical and valuable information as to what I can do in order to impact and influence the changes that are needed in those places. A well equipped person is a most effective person. As Johnny points out, “prayer and action aren’t a either or thing; they go hand in hand.” I also love that this book truly emphasizes the reality that God wants us to see things bigger than what we may actually be seeing, when it comes to living the life we are living.
I’d say that this is a book for anyone who has a desire to have a great impact on their family, community, and the world, but never knew exactly how to go about it. It’s also for any pastor, lay-person, or community leader who wants to influence real change. This is not the kind of book you just glance over. You’ll want to fully digest it, reflect on it, and impliment it. See this book as the kindling to a new fire for your life.
QUESTION: Do you see yourself as having a prophetic call to reclaim the mountains? What does that look like for you?
