Occupy 2015 Conference

This past weekend Apostle Terrell Murphy and Life Center International hosted their annual conference Occupy in Charlotte, NC. Among the guest speakers were Dr. Cindy Trimm, Apostle Jonas Clark, Dr. Patricia Bailey, Apostle Charlene Glover and Apostle Kevin Graham. Each one is a powerhouse in their own right and bring a message of hope and an ability to lay out strategy for living out your faith walk with excitement, authority, anointing and expectancy. The focus of the conference is geared towards teaching, training, equipping and deploying of men and women of God into the areas in which they’ve been called. The guest psalmist throughout the conference was Leon Timbo who has such a unique way of setting the tone and preparing hearts to receive the downloads that have been given to each speaker to share with each person in attendance.

While I was not fortunate enough to be present in the building, I was able to participate this year by way of live streaming sessions that were made available during the evenings. This allowed me to hear Dr. Cindy Trimm, Apostle Terrell Murphy on two nights, and Apostle Jonas Clark on the final day. Each one had golden nuggets of wisdom which they conveyed. I think of each speaker, the one that really hit home the message was Terrell Murphy who emphasized the need for the people of God to understand that “there is no way that we can occupy for God until we have first been occupied by God.” This point was driven home throughout the entire weekend.

Although I’ve yet to be able to attend this conference it has made an indelible mark on me. I believe wholeheartedly that anyone who has a desire to be impactful in their family, career, as well as in the local, national and even global community, this is one conference that will open your understanding and equip you with practical things that you can do where you are with the God given gifts and talents that you’ve been blessed with. It’s not just for an exclusive or select group of people but for anyone who considers it to be important that real change be seen and accomplished in the world. The Occupy Conference for 2016 has already been announced to occur the weekend of April 28, 2016 through May 1, 2016.

Over the years of my life, I’ve attended conferences of many sorts both live and via web stream. One thing I can say for certain about the Occupy Conference is that you cannot ignore the fact that you will notice a difference between it and many others that claim to  foster what is being done at the Occupy conference. If you have the opportunity to set aside the date for next year’s conference, you can best be sure that it will be most rewarding and that you will not regret your decision.

QUESTION: If you attended the Occupy 2015 Conference, what were your takeaways?
