I decided to check out Steve Harvey’s book Act Like a Success Think Like a Success after hearing so many people talk about how impactful it was in changing their perspective on so many things. It’s actually a follow-up book to his Act Like a Lady Think Like a Man book which was geared towards teaching women about relationships.
Steve’s book Act like a Success Think Like a Success is a book that is broken up into four sections that moves you from the acknowledgment the things that hold you back and takes you all the way to empowering you to create the success you desire and deserve. Those four sections include Enough is Enough, Discovering and Embracing Your Gifts, Maximizing Your Gifts, and finally Creating your Legacy. He pulls from his entire life’s journey to convey his message in a way that will have you from start to finish. Whether it is his early childhood, his start in comedy, his transition in faith, and all the way to his growth into television and mentoring.
What I find so amazing is that as you read the book, it is written in such a way that you literally hear his heart as though he’s speaking conversationally to you and talking you through all of the issues that you face in life as a mentor or coach. Steve uses his gift of humor to translate every point and as the linchpin to anchor everything together. He gives you practical advice and personal experiences that make each of his points come alive for you to show why thing go wrong and how you can improve your position and strengthen yourself.
This book is absolutely perfect for anyone who is ready for change in their life and want to move in a more positive direction. If you’ve lived a life of failure, had a taste of minimal success, or even if you’ve found yourself stuck at a level of success and desire to have greater, this book will open your mind to move further down the road of life, with humor as a bonus. If you need a bit of a kick in the rear and a bit of humor with your pep talk, Act Like a Success Think Like a Success is the one that will do it for you.
