One of my favorite shows as a kid was the television series Mission Impossible. When Tom Cruise reintroduced Mission Impossible on the cinematic screen, the one thing I continued to live for was that famous line that said, “Your mission, should you choose to accept it…”. You always knew that something big was about to happen and it was going to be intense and exciting. As we have now entered into the year 2017, I sincerely believe it was as though God had a conversation with His elect people in this nation to say, “You’re about to enter this new year and I have a new mission for you. Should you choose to accept it, it will be exhilarating and glorious.”
Dare to See: One of the most critical things that must occur in this season is to be able to see all that God is wanting to reveal about this new season that we have entered into. As the year 2017 has begun and we are fully into the Jewish year of 5777, there is much revelation that God is pouring out about where He desires for His people to show up and be. Part of the revelation of 5777 involves the fact that God is granting new vision to see. This in one sense means that He is removing the blinds or the veil from the eyes of many who have not seen clearly what is taking place. He is also revealing things that were hidden specifically for this time. Just as Christ said to his disciples, “I have many things to tell and show you, but you cannot bear them now,” God is saying that He is going to begin to reveal them to those who will dare to seek Him in greater measure.
The vision we must have must not only be spiritual, but also natural. We must be able to see spiritually where the dangers lie and the root sources that must be dealt with so that we can speak to it. Naturally, we must be able to see how to practically cast the vision necessary to make transformation possible upon each mountain.
Dare to Speak: Another thing that must take place in 2017 is to acknowledge the call to intercession. With the year of 5777 also signifying the clashing of swords, what we speak must also play a significant role in this next move. As we know, our mouths have the power of life and death in it, which means that it can cut two ways. We must kill those things that are an offense to the Lord, and speak life to those things that God would desire to bring glory to it.
There must Spiritual protection and provision made concerning those in authority. As there is a transition taking place at the head of the year, there is still much covering that the prophetic community must make for those who have the heavy burden of moving the nation towards justice, righteousness, and a correct path towards its relationship with Jerusalem. There are many who are still phased by what occurred back in November of 2016. There are even many in the Body of Christ who have yet to fully grasp what was at stake and what spiritual significance this shift created for the nation and the body of Christ in America.
Through intercession, there will be the opportunity to put into the atmosphere the declarations of the new order that God would desire for not just those who are leading the nation through the mountain of government, but also the connections that they will have with those at the head of the mountains of media, arts and entertainment, business, education, religion, and family. The tide can be turned as those who are called to transform these mountains can see the glory that God still desires to unfold upon those mountains through them. Declare, proclaim, put into the atmosphere what is required to upset and displace those kingdoms that are not of His design.
Dare to Move: It is not enough to see or speak. There must also be a call to move. When Nehemiah was moved in his heart to petition God about the walls being rebuilt, God gave him the strength to ask the king. With the kings blessing and God’s leading, Nehemiah formulated a vision to rebuild the walls, protect those who were responsible for doing it, and maintaining the encouragement of them when opposition arose from within their ranks who should have been on their side.
We too must dare to not just dream, see vision, and speak. We must also put boots to the ground with a plan that can fulfill the vision that will help to reclaim each of the seven mountains. There are ways in which we have been gifted and anointed to help bring blessing to the mountain of religion. There are ways in which we have been gifted and anointed to help bring wisdom to the mountain of education. We are gifted to bring honor to families, order, justice and power to government, truth and strength to media, glory to arts and entertainment, and even riches to the mountain of business.
Dare to Love: Up until now, the world has only known the heart of God through the lens of the Christians it has previously encountered. This new season is requiring an upgrade to how Christians have previously conveyed the love of God to the world. What has been seen in the past will not be enough for today. They must see what it truly means to be loved unconditionally, unapologetically, and full of redemption. The agape kind of love that God desires for us to show will be a kind of love that we aren’t accustomed to, so it will require an upgrade in our own perception of who God is. We must dare to know God more fully so that we can share it how He would have us to express it. This kind of love will begin to even distinguish us from many who are merely religious. This will not be easy since it will be uncomfortable at first to recognize how different it is from what we have known before. Yet, the more we embrace
We must dare to know God more fully so that we can share it how He would have us to express it. This kind of love will begin to even distinguish us from many who are merely religious. This will not be easy since it will be uncomfortable at first to recognize how different it is from what we have known before. Yet, the more we embrace His heart, He will give us the capacity to reflect it towards those who have need of it.
The call to see, speak, move and love requires a boldness to step into territories we’ve not ventured before, relying on God to make up for what we think we lack. There are many of us whom He has simply said, “Go!” We must go, trusting, with humility, that where He sends us, the provision has been already made.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to be salt, light, a sword that brings peace to His kingdom, yet displaces the kingdoms that oppose it. Your mission is to be courageous like Joshua, as wise as Solomon and forthright as Peter. It’s not an impossible mission. This mission is possible if you remain humble and attentive to God who is sending you. Take the new wine of this day and be what God needs you to be in this new year 2017.
QUESTION: What is God requiring of you for this 7 Mountain Movement?
