What is the Call of the People When Prophets Speak? [Part Two]

When prophets speak, it is God‘s way of getting the attention of people. Often, this method of attention getting is designed to have a people come to the understanding that God is wanting the people to draw near to Him. When Moses and his brother Aaron went before the Pharaoh to deliver the word that God wanted him to let Israel go, God already knew that he wouldn’t let them go easily. In fact, it even says that Pharaoh’s heart had been hardened. Part of the reason behind God’s hardening Pharaoh’s heart was so that He could bring judgment against Egypt for the 400 years of bondage that they had suffered at their hands. The brutality of the Egyptian’s treatment of the people of Israel had been so great that when the Israelite began to outnumber the Egyptians, they began to execute the Israelite male babies at birth.

In looking again at the prophetic word that was spoken of by Prophet Kim Clement, I noticed something that is perhaps a clear indicator of the second battlefront that will be faced and have to be dealt with. When Prophet Kim said that a betrayal would come to the White House and that it would result in ten little wars that would bring about deliverance for both Israel and the United States, I couldn’t help notice that the second of the ten plagues of Egypt was the plague of frogs. According to my own research, it revealed that the Egyptians of that day considered frogs a sacred animal and they were connected to the god of fertility. Flooding Egypt with frogs and then having them die was a judgment sent to reveal to them God’s disgust at the death of so many of His chosen.

It may be that in this second war that must be faced is the war to defund Planned Parenthood, which for countless years has been at the forefront of snuffing out the lives of millions of children. Under the guise of promoting women’s health, they have championed a woman’s right to choose, despite any evidence of offering women any other option than abortion. While it may be true that the number of aborted babies has started to see a decline in recent years, the number of deaths is still staggering and it again wreaks of man’s standing in the way of or even shaking their collective fists at God.

Planned Parenthood has taken advantage of the poorest Americans, especially minorities, under the pretense of helping women and saving lives. The reality we see here is that this has robbed the nation of boundless potential talent, as well as human capital that could have been a blessing to the nation and the world. The greater curse in this is through the incorporation of taxpayer dollars, they have made all Americans, whether they wish to be or not, a party to the process.

For the Egyptians, the plague of frogs not only became a stench to the people as they filled the streets, the land and their homes with the decayed bodies, it also likely created diseased waters. This reveals that the judgment that God sent to Egypt also affected the economy as it was the second plague that stifled the waters that served as a tributary and resource to the nation.

So what is the call for the people who are hearing the words of the prophet today? Part of the call is to stand fast in the fight to bring attention to the injustice being done in this nation. In as much as Egypt placed a high value on its own fertility and worshiped idols that they believed would aid in it, yet sought to stifle the lives of God’s chosen, the plague was an indication of God’s displeasure and proof that God was on the side of Israel. For

For Americans who have made their goal to make a business out of the elimination of life under the guise of promoting health, there is highly likely a judgment to come. Yet, as Christians rise up on the front lines of responding to this atrocity, the real fight will, as it has always been to present in a more effective manner better ways of shifting cultural views so that lives aren’t lost on the table but presented with the opportunity to flourish and add exponential benefit to the nation and its economy.  If Christians can offer hope through the opportunity of becoming foster and adoptive parents of children that might otherwise be lost raising them in loving, God-centered homes, this can be one way that can pay large dividends in helping to shift the cultural views of those who promote abortion. The ultimate benefit might be seen in the opportunity to help the unborn be born and ultimately fulfill their own God-given destinies.

The strengthening of America’s moral fiber and populace helps Israel as an ally that is more formidable to stand in agreement as covenant brothers against those who hold non-biblical worldviews and seek the demise of both nations.

Part of the response to the words of the prophet is to repent on behalf of a nation. Many prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah would pray prayers of repentance, not because they themselves had committed the sins, but as representatives of the nation that God had called them to, they prayed prayers on behalf of the nation so that judgment did not befall them. As a body of believers, we are called to pray on behalf of this nation so that the judgment that is directed towards those who have made it their mission to come against God’s divine will, does not also impact God’s people. In as much as there was a distinction made between God’s people and the Egyptians in the days of Moses, so too will there be a distinction made between God’s people and those who have aligned themselves with the false idol of fertility.

QUESTION: What other things can you perceive as necessary to heeding the words of a prophet and facing the battle ahead?

This is the second in a series of blogs that will cover the prophetic word by Kim Clement and what I believe the 10 battles that may be instrumental in deliverance for Israel and the Church. Click the above link to see the prophetic message. Click Here to read Part One of this series.
